Fadnavis Hails Mahayuti’s Historic Win, Credits Unity and Teamwork

MUMBAI: Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, celebrating the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance’s sweeping victory in the state elections, likened himself to a “modern Abhimanyu.” Referencing the Mahabharata warrior known for navigating complex situations, Fadnavis explained, “I know how to break the ‘chakravyuh,’ but this victory is not about me. It is the result of our team’s collective efforts.” He credited the people of Maharashtra for the alliance’s triumph and highlighted their unified support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and his vision of “Ek Hain Toh Sikhre Hain.”

Fadnavis further emphasized that the unprecedented win reflects the collaborative spirit of the alliance partners. He remarked, “This is the victory of the Mahayuti, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, and Ramdas Athawale. It is a victory of unity.” He assured reporters that the decision on the chief minister’s position would be made jointly by the leaders of the three coalition parties, with no disputes. “From the beginning, it was decided that the CM’s face would be finalized collectively, and the decision will be acceptable to all,” he added.

Eknath Shinde Expresses Gratitude

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde acknowledged the central BJP leadership’s support, particularly Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP President J.P. Nadda. Shinde expressed pride in the Mahayuti’s team effort, saying, “I am proud that my prediction of winning 200 seats came true. We fought this election as a united team, and the results speak for themselves.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also extended his congratulations to Shinde, Fadnavis, and Pawar for steering the Mahayuti to a landslide victory. The alliance secured 231 out of the 288 assembly seats, a resounding mandate that significantly overshadowed the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), which managed to win only 50 seats.

Conclusion

The Maharashtra Assembly elections reaffirmed the BJP-led Mahayuti’s stronghold in the state, with its leadership lauding teamwork, unity, and public support for their decisive win. The results not only reflect the alliance’s strategic cohesion but also the electorate’s endorsement of their leadership and vision for Maharashtra.
