Tourism Minister Presides Over Best Tourism Village Award Ceremony at Sialsuk
Today, Sialsuk village celebrated being awarded the Best Tourism Village – Community Based, 2024 in India. The joyous occasion was marked with a community event. Tourism Minister Pi Lalrinpuii graced the ceremony as the chief guest, accompanied by Aizawl South 3 constituency MLA, Pi Baryl Vanneihsangi, as the guest of honor.
In her speech, Tourism Minister Pi Lalrinpuii highlighted the progress achieved in the tourism sector under new initiatives. She emphasized the state government’s evolving role as a facilitator, enabling private entities and skilled professionals to lead tourism-related events through outsourcing. The Minister acknowledged the hard work and unity of the Sialsuk community and its leaders, which earned the village this prestigious recognition. She encouraged the villagers to continue their efforts and further enhance Sialsuk’s appeal as a must-visit destination for travelers.
Guest of Honor, Pi Baryl Vanneihsangi, expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the people of Sialsuk. She called on the community to strive for even greater achievements and ensure continued growth in tourism development.
The event was chaired by Sialsuk VCP Pu R. Lalruatkima. Dr. Lalrozama, IAS, Secretary of the Tourism Department, also spoke on behalf of the department, extending congratulations and words of appreciation. The program featured cultural performances by talented local artists and students from various schools in Sialsuk, celebrating the village’s rich heritage with joy and pride.
After the Best Tourism Village award ceremony, Tourism Minister Pi Lalrinpuii visited the Sialsuk Primary Health Center (PHC). She held discussions with community leaders regarding strategies for improving healthcare services and PHC operations in the village.
