62nd Foundation Day of Civil Defense Celebrated with Joy and Enthusiasm

Jaipur : The 62nd Foundation Day of Civil Defense was celebrated with excitement and enthusiasm at the Civil Defense Directorate building in Vidyadhar Nagar. The event’s chief guest, Mrs. Anuprerna Singh Kuntal, Commissioner of the Civil Defense Department, hoisted the flag during the ceremony.

Commissioner Mrs. Anuprerna Singh Kuntal and District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni launched a poster related to a one-day training and public awareness program on disaster management and civil defense, organized across all subdivisions under “Saksham Jaipur-2024.” Deputy Controller of Civil Defense, Mr. Amit Sharma, informed that as part of this campaign, every Wednesday, disaster management and civil defense training and awareness programs are conducted in Jaipur’s subdivisions to educate the public and enhance their capabilities.

During the ceremony, volunteers presented live demonstrations of civil defense services. These included rescue operations showcasing various techniques used by civil defense rescue teams to save victims from damaged smoke chambers, multistory buildings, or during bomb explosions or other disasters. Additionally, fire control methods using various firefighting tools were demonstrated to show how to manage severe fires effectively.

As part of the event, the chief guest awarded commendation certificates to department personnel and volunteers for their commendable contributions.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Director of the Civil Defense Directorate, Mrs. Suman Devi, Staff Officer Mr. Indramal Senior, and other departmental officials and personnel, along with 500 civil defense volunteers.
