Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to inaugurate ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024 in Jaipur on December 09 

Jaipur :  The ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024 will kick start with Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi inaugurating the Summit on December 09 in the capital city of Jaipur. The Prime Minister, who is attending the summit as the Chief Guest, will also deliver the inaugural address and inaugurate the Rajasthan Global Business Expo before the august gathering of Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma, members of the State Cabinet, 5000+ investors, business leaders, officials, delegates and participants.

Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma will deliver the welcome speech for Hon’ble Prime Minister and touch upon his Government’s agenda and growth engines that will contribute towards realising the goal of doubling the state’s economy to USD 350 billion in next 5-years. Government of Rajasthan has already signed investment proposals worth more than INR 30 lakh crore in the run-up to ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024.

The inaugural session will also see the participation of top leadership of business conglomerates and diplomats including Shri Kumar Mangalam Birla, Shri Anil Agarwal, Shri Gautam Adani, Shri Anand Mahindra, Shri Sanjiv Puri, Shri Ajay S. Shriram, Shri Keiichi ONO, Ambassador of Japan among others.

During the inaugural session, some of the eminent industrialists will also share their views on Rajasthan, its transformation and business potential and key reforms being ushered in by the Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. Ministers, Ambassadors and key Diplomats from the 32 countries will also join the inaugural event.

A total of 8 Country Sessions and roundtables will also be organised during the three-day Summit to promote the partnership between the participating countries and Rajasthan. Among the 32 participating countries, the ones participating as ‘Summit Partner Countries’ include Denmark, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Switzerland, Malaysia, Spain, Cuba, Venezuela, Morrocco, Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Nepal, Oman, Poland and Thailand. The remaining countries which are participating in the Summit in different capacities include the USA, the UK, Germany, Australia, Indonesia, Egypt, Finland, Russia, Seychelles, Chad, Ecuador, Ghana, Iraq, Madagascar, Paraguay and Zimbabwe.

The major highlights of the three-day summit, in addition to the inaugural and country sessions, include the Non-Resident Rajasthani (NRR) conclave, MSME Conclave and 12 thematic sessions that will bring together experts, policymakers, industry captains to dwell upon the major challenges, technological transformations and emerging opportunities. The 12 thematic sessions will be organized on key topics including women entrepreneurship, manufacturing, water management and sustainability, sustainable energy, healthcare, sustainable mining, startups, education, sustainable finance, agri-business, tourism and infrastructure and supply chain. These sessions will also emphasize Rajasthan’s focus on leveraging innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity to foster economic growth and global competitiveness.

The NRR conclave, scheduled to be held on Day 02 of the summit (December 10), aims to bring together the Rajasthani diaspora from across the globe, fostering a sense of community and collaboration. The session will also showcase the commitment of the Government of Rajasthan to engage with the Pravasi Rajasthani community and recognize their vital role in the state’s growth and development.

The MSME Conclave will be held on Day 03 of the Summit (December 11), bringing together MSME entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and thought leaders on a global platform to discuss the sector’s future readiness. The Conclave will feature panel discussions, experience-sharing sessions, and provide networking opportunities to the stakeholders. Rajasthan’s MSME sector is vital to the state’s economy, contributing approximately 25% to the Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP).

A major highlight of the summit will be the Rajasthan Global Business Expo, featuring thematic pavilions including the Rajasthan Pavilion, Country Pavilions, Startups Pavilion, and exhibits from the leading Indian and global business groups including leading Public Sector Enterprises (PSEs). The exhibition will not only spotlight Rajasthan’s immense potential and existing strengths across sectors but also showcase the State’s progressive policies facilitating conducive environment for the growth of businesses.
