District-Level Program in Jhunjhunu to Mark One Year of State Government—Rapid Progress Toward Doubling State Economy, Says Social Justice and Empowerment Minister; Beneficiary Ramniwas Bhakar Interacts with Chief Minister
Jaipur – As part of the series of events commemorating the first anniversary of the state government, a district-level exhibition was inaugurated in Jhunjhunu on Friday by the district in-charge minister and Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, Shri Avinash Gehlot. The minister reviewed developmental works in the district while exploring the exhibition and gathering information about products displayed at various departmental stalls.
Shri Gehlot encouraged young girls who won gold medals in the state-level basketball sub-junior competition at the sports department’s stall. At the Rajeevika stall, Jhunjhunu MLA Shri Rajendra Bhambu purchased handmade shoes to support self-help group women, praising their craftsmanship and boosting their morale.
Following this, Shri Gehlot unveiled the District Development Booklet and addressed the media during a press conference, highlighting achievements of the state government and the district. He also distributed keys for scooters under the Kalibai Bhil Scooty Scheme and Devnarayan Scooty Scheme to the girl beneficiaries.
Key Achievements Highlighted:
Addressing a farmer’s conference, Shri Gehlot stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the state’s economy has reached ₹15 lakh crore and is rapidly working toward doubling it to ₹30 lakh crore. He urged everyone to contribute to building a new Rajasthan and explained the benefits of the PM Surya Ghar Yojana in detail.
Shri Gehlot informed that Rajasthan has secured the second position in growth rate nationally over the past year. He noted a 7.5% reduction in crimes and a 10.5% reduction in crimes against women from January to December 2024. The state government has provided over 50,000 government appointments in the past year, with 57,000 new vacancies recently announced. Additionally, he shared updates on MoUs and developmental projects under Rising Rajasthan and distributed blankets during the event.
Jhunjhunu MLA Shri Rajendra Bhambu lauded the state government’s governance under CM Bhajanlal Sharma, reporting that over 60% of budget announcements have been completed, with the remainder set for completion by March 2025.
Other Highlights:
Earlier, the district collector welcomed attendees, commending departmental officers for implementing government schemes effectively over the past year. IAS Harsh Sawan Sukha, district secretary-in-charge, praised the exhibition and farmer conference, congratulating beneficiaries and discussing CM Sharma’s vision for Rajasthan.
Before the event, Shri Avinash Gehlot met with local workers at Circuit House and directed officials for swift resolution of public grievances.
Beneficiary Interaction with CM:
CM Bhajanlal Sharma joined the program via video conferencing and interacted with Ramniwas Bhakar from Dhayalon Ki Dhani, Kari Gram Panchayat, Nawalgarh. A beneficiary of the Rajasthan Cooperative Gopal Credit Card Scheme, Bhakar received a ₹1 lakh loan and government grants for a farm pond. He expressed gratitude for the state government’s initiatives and praised its efforts.
