Defence Minister Rajnath Singh files nomination in the presence of CM Yogi

Lucknow, April 29 : Union Defence Minister and senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh, on Monday, filed his nomination papers from Lucknow seat for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections 2024. 

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Deputy Chief Minister of UP Brajesh Pathak and Rajya Sabha MP Sudhanshu Trivedi accompanied the Defence Minister during the filing of the nomination papers. The nomination was filed in the presence of District Election Officer Surya Pal Gangwar.

Union Defence Minister and BJP’s candidate from Lucknow Lok Sabha seat, Rajnath Singh, held a massive roadshow on Monday before filing his nomination papers for Lok Sabha Election 2024. Accompanying him was Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, brandishing a ‘lotus flower’ cutout and sporting a radiant smile despite the sweltering heat.

The roadshow started from the Bharatiya Janata Party and culminated at the Collectorate. The blazing sun could not deter the upbeat BJP workers who lined the streets. Along the route, diverse segments of society, including party workers, expressed their support by showering flowers on Yogi-Rajnath. The entire route of the roadshow turned saffron with BJP flags. 

During the road show, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, BJP State President Chaudhary Bhupendra Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Keshav Prasad Maurya, Union Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey, Kaushal Kishore, Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, Deoria MP Dr. Ramapati Ram Tripathi, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Seth, MLA Rajeshwar Singh, Neeraj Bora, and Pankaj Singh, among others, were present.

*Chief Minister himself took the command of the roadshow*

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself took charge of the roadshow, urging the people to ensure order and discipline throughout the event. As Yogi expressed his appreciation to the people of Lucknow, chants of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’, ‘Vande Mataram’, and ‘Phir ek bar Modi Sarkar’ echoed through the crowd.

Yogi Adityanath also efficiently managed road arrangements using a microphone. To maintain order, he provided instructions to BJP workers and officials directly from the chariot. While Rajnath Singh warmly greeted the crowd with folded hands from the Vikas Rath, Yogi Adityanath prominently displayed the lotus flower, the party’s election symbol, while also discussing the goal of surpassing the 400-mark target.

The atmosphere of the road show remained vibrant with patriotic songs keeping the crowd energized. People danced to the beats of the dhol, swaying to tunes like “Jo Ram ko laaye hain hum unko layenge” and “Aye Watan-Aye Watan.” Amidst the festivities, BJP workers demonstrated their commitment to public safety by promptly making way for an ambulance that needed passage. Their discipline and enthusiasm were evident throughout the event.

During the journey, members of the minority community extended a warm welcome to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and CM Yogi Adityanath. On stage, alongside officials from the BJP Minority Morcha, men and women from the community showered flowers upon the Vikas Rath. Additionally, representatives from the Vyapar Mandal, Adhivakta Samaj, Band Baja Association, railway-related organizations, Agarwal Samaj, and various other sections of society, along with all affiliated BJP organizations, enthusiastically greeted the leaders on the Vikas Rath.

The crowd assembled at Rajnath Singh’s nomination eagerly captured every moment on camera. Whether BJP workers or members of the public, everyone was seen snapping photos on their mobile devices, preserving memories of the event. Rajnath Singh and Yogi Adityanath were observed offering encouragement to the workers and warmly greeting the attendees.
