Good Governance Week – ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore, 2024’Workshop on Good Governance Practices

Hnahthial: A ‘Workshop on Good Governance Practices’ was held at the Hnahthial DC Conference Hall as part of the ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore, 2024’ (Good Governance Week, 2024).

The workshop was led by Addl. DC, Pu Zonunmawia Khiangte, who provided valuable insights on the role of government offices within Hnahthial District. During the session, Mrs. Rita Lalnunmawii Pachuau highlighted the importance of an efficient Public Grievance Redressal System and the need for effective service delivery to ensure better governance. She emphasized that the improvement of these systems is crucial for the well-being of the public. The Head of Office also discussed the necessity for office personnel to act with responsibility and care in fulfilling their duties.

SDO (Sadar), Mrs. Esther Leihang, delivered a PowerPoint presentation on the topic of ‘Good Governance,’ explaining the importance of transparency and accountability in public administration. She stressed the need for systems that ensure better delivery of services and benefits to the public.

The workshop concluded with remarks from Pu R. Vanlalruata, SDC, who expressed gratitude for the successful session.
