Chairman Rahul Narvekar Directs to Accelerate Construction of Manora MLA Residence Building in Mumbai and Complete it by January 2027
High-Powered Committee Meeting Held with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Key Attendance
Nagpur : To facilitate accommodation for MLAs visiting Mumbai for the Legislature sessions and various ministerial duties, Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar directed that the construction of the Manora MLA Residence building be expedited and completed by January 2027. These instructions were given during the meeting of the High-Powered Committee.
A review of the proposed redevelopment project of the Manora MLA Residence in Mumbai was conducted under the chairmanship of Speaker Rahul Narvekar.
As per the Supreme Court’s decision, modifications have been made to the construction plan of the Manora MLA Residence. Changes have been incorporated into areas like the green belt, parking facilities, and the sewage treatment project. In light of these changes, approvals were granted for the revised project structure and the increased costs. Speaker Rahul Narvekar also instructed that all construction work should be completed within the stipulated time while maintaining high-quality standards.
The meeting was attended by Legislative Council Chairman Prof. Ram Shinde, Deputy Chairperson Dr. Neelam Gorhe, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik, Legislature Secretary Jitendra Bhole, Additional Chief Secretary of the Revenue Department Rajesh Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department O.P. Gupta, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Ashwini Bhide, Secretary of the Public Works Department Sanjay Dashpute, and officials from Larsen & Toubro. A presentation was also given by Larsen & Toubro during the meeting.
