Krishak Unnati Yojana: Procurement of paddy at support price has created new confidence among farmers

As per the intention of the government, paddy is being purchased from the farmers of the state at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal under the Krishak Unnati Yojana. Due to which, along with the increase in the income of the farmers, their socio-economic status has also improved. Bhim Singh, who came to sell paddy at the procurement center Sukhri in Ambikapur of the district, told that he had sold 127 quintals of paddy last year, the difference of which was about one lakh rupees. He bought a pump for irrigation with this amount. Due to increase in irrigation facility, he has now planted vegetables in the remaining land along with paddy, due to which he is getting a good additional income. He said that the guarantee given to us farmers by Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has been fulfilled. For this, he thanked Chief Minister Shri Sai.

Bhim Singh told that he has sold paddy this year also. On receiving the bonus amount, he will deposit this amount for the future. Appreciating the arrangements of the procurement center, he said that the government has also provided us with the facility of micro ATM, in which we can withdraw money immediately as per the need.
