Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony for World-Class ‘Anjana Dham’ Concludes in Gandhinagar
Gandhinagar : Governor Shri Acharya Devvratji, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, and Speaker of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly Shri Shankar Chaudhary laid the foundation stone for Anjana Dham today. The grand Anjana Dham is set to be constructed at an estimated cost of ₹300 crore near Jamiyatpura village, close to Kalol on the Ahmedabad-Mahesana highway. The dignitaries also honoured the donors who supported the project. Shri Shri 1008 Mahant Shri Dayaramji Maharaj, patron of Shikarpura Ashram, Rajasthan, blessed the occasion. The foundation stone was laid by the saints and dignitaries, who performed a worship ceremony with the golden stone brick, reciting mantras as per scriptural rituals.
Governor Shri Acharya Devvratji, in his address, stated that Anjana Dham should not just be the educational hub or a pathway for youth aspiring to join the IAS or IPS, rather the governor envisioned Anjana Dham as a mission to nurture cultured people who bring honour to society, their families, and the nation. He acknowledged the Anjana-Chowdhary Community as a patriotic community and urged the youth to actively contribute to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat. The governor emphasized that the progress of a nation hinges on equal contributions from both women and men. He called on the Anjana community to prioritize the education and empowerment of its women, stressing that a society that nurtures its children and shields them from addictions will thrive. The charitable leaders who contributed to Anjana Dham were honoured by Governor Shri Acharya Devvratji and Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel. During the event, Governor Shri Acharya Devvratji also pledged a donation of ₹5 lakh, highlighting that money earned through dedication and hard work is sacred, and the donors have wisely utilized their resources. Referencing “Karma-Fal Vyavastha,” he explained that donation is a valuable investment for the next life.
In his address, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel stated that inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Anjana Chaudhary Community is building an exceptional Anjana Dham. He shared his privilege in contributing to this effort to shape a prosperous and virtuous future for society. The Chief Minister also noted that the Bhoomi Pujan and foundation laying ceremony represents more than just the beginning of a building; it is a pivotal step toward facilitating a strong and thriving society. He praised the Anjana Community and Vishva Anjana Foundation for aligning with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s mantra, ‘Sauno Saath, Sauno Vikas’. This complex will create abundant opportunities for the youth in higher education, career growth, and sports. The Chief Minister further noted that the ₹300 crore complex will provide educational facilities, and hostels, and serve as a centre for health and addiction prevention programs, guiding the youth toward a righteous path.
The CM offered his heartfelt congratulations to the donors, Vishva Anjana Foundation, and Anjana Dham Trust for their substantial contributions towards the construction of the complex. Speaking on the distinctive qualities of the Shri Anjana Chaudhary Community, the Chief Minister mentioned that the community descended from Arbuda Mata, has become a source of social power both within India and abroad. The CM praised the community’s hard work, noting its success in various fields, including village culture, agriculture, milk production, and animal husbandry. He emphasized that when such a strong community receives governmental support and cooperation, the pace of development accelerates. The CM also praised the Prime Minister’s exemplary leadership, showcasing how collaboration between society and government has contributed to Gujarat’s holistic progress. He further pointed out that the Anjana Community has achieved success in various sectors, including health, trade, industry, and education. The CM also acknowledged the significant role the community plays in education, pointing out that the Anjana Chaudhary community has educated many daughters to high academic standards and provides pre-training for competitive exams such as IAS and IPS. He also recognized their financial support for deserving students. Thanks to the tireless efforts of the Anjana Chaudhary community, North Gujarat has prospered, particularly in the dairy sector. Banas Dairy, the largest in Asia, stands as a testament to the hard work of the community’s animal husbandry farmers and farmers, signifying the pride of North Gujarat. In his address to the youth, the Chief Minister remarked that the Prime Minister has envisioned nation-building through the power of youth. He urged the youth of the Anjana Chaudhary community to take inspiration from the Prime Minister’s appeal and contribute more actively to national service. He added that Anjana Dham will serve as a vital centre for nurturing the youth and instilling the values of patriotism. The CM stated that by following the Prime Minister’s vision, we are committed to uniting all communities, providing equal opportunities, and advancing the path of holistic development for every society. To achieve Viksit Bharat@2047, the development of Viksit Gujarat must proceed under the Prime Minister’s guidance. Achieving this requires the collective effort of the government, society, and all individuals to make the nation and state progressive, driven by the energy of youth & women.
Shri Shankar Chaudhary, donor of Anjana Dham and Speaker of the Gujarat Legislative Assembly, addressed the gathering, describing the foundation stone-laying of Anjana Dham as a historic milestone for the Chaudhary community. He emphasized the importance of donation, stating that a society that honours its donors achieves significant prestige and prosperity. Shri Shankar Chaudhary extended his gratitude to all those who contributed. He conveyed faith that this non-political institution would play a role in advancing the nation by strengthening communities. He also noted that even small donations, like ₹11, are of immense value, and encouraged everyone to take pride in their contribution to the project. He highlighted the importance of ‘Garbh Sanskar’ in nurturing bright and cultured future generations and called upon community leaders and youth to unite in the development of Anjana Dham.
Shri Manibhai Chaudhary, President of Anjana Dham and leading donor, conveyed his gratitude for the opportunity to contribute, attributing his ability to do so with the blessings of God. He invited everyone to join the institution and make further contributions to the betterment of society. Shri Manibhai donated ₹51 crore to the Anjana Dham project. The opening remarks were delivered by donors Shri Dilipbhai Shankarbhai Chaudhary, Shri Ramanbhai Chaudhary, and Shri Kanubhai Chaudhary. Shri Amitbhai Chaudhary, General Secretary of Anjana Dham, introduced the main donors and thanked all contributors for their support in furthering the interests of society. The Anjana Dham foundation stone-laying ceremony was attended by a large gathering of donors from Anjana Chaudhary Community, trustees of Anjana Dham, community leaders, and activists from districts across Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, as well as participants from countries like the USA and Canada.
