“Ease Daily Life for Citizens” – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis
Seven-Point Action Plan Introduced for Officials by CM Devendra Fadnavis
Mumbai : To improve the Ease of Living for citizens, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis outlined a seven-point action plan for all officials across Maharashtra.
During a video conference with divisional commissioners, district collectors, municipal commissioners, police commissioners, and police superintendents, the Chief Minister detailed priority tasks for the administration to complete within the next 100 days. A review of progress on these directives is scheduled for April 15, 2025. Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, along with other ministers, were also present.
Key Directives from CM Fadnavis
- Modernize and Secure Office Websites:
Ensure government office websites are well-equipped, updated, and compliant with the Right to Information (RTI) Act by preloading relevant information. These websites should also be cyber-secure. - Office Cleanliness and Organization:
Conduct cleanliness drives in government offices, dispose of unnecessary documents, and decommission outdated or unused vehicles. Offices should maintain clean drinking water and hygienic restrooms for visitors, and surprise inspections should reflect this cleanliness. - Implement Two Innovative Initiatives:
Each office must introduce at least two innovative reforms or initiatives to enhance Ease of Living. Efforts should focus on reducing pending cases to zero. Display information boards specifying when officials are available to meet citizens. - Resolve Issues Locally:
Problems that can be resolved at the taluka or district level should not escalate to the Secretariat. Initiatives like “Lokshahi Din” (Democracy Day) should be effectively implemented to address citizen grievances locally. - Facilitate Investment and Industry Growth:
Entrepreneurs visiting the state for investments should not face any hindrance or harassment. This responsibility lies not just with the industry department but also with regional officers. Divisional commissioners and district collectors should actively communicate with relevant department officials and entrepreneurs to ensure Ease of Working. - Inspect Key Projects and Programs:
Officials must visit key projects and programs in their districts. Additionally, visits to schools, anganwadis (rural childcare centers), and health centers at the taluka and village levels should be scheduled to monitor progress. - Provide Better Facilities for Citizens:
Ensure visitors to government offices have access to basic facilities like clean restrooms and drinking water.
Accountability and Monitoring
District guardian secretaries must oversee the implementation of these directives within their respective districts. CM Fadnavis emphasized that regular monitoring is crucial to achieving these objectives.
