Skills Development for 3,300 Candidates in Mumbai Suburban District
Mumbai : The Skill Development Department, under the District Planning Committee, is implementing the Minimum Skills Development Program for the year 2024-25 to enhance the skills of candidates in the age group of 18 to 45 years in Mumbai Suburban district and provide them with employment and self-employment opportunities. During the period 2024-25, batches have been assigned to authorized institutions with the goal of enhancing the skills of 3,300 candidates in the district.
A meeting was held for the distribution of batches for the Minimum Skills Development Program for the year 2024-25 under the skill, employment, entrepreneurship, and innovation district executive committee of Mumbai Suburban. The meeting was attended by Sub-Divisional Officer Sandeep Nichit, District Planning Officer Sanjay Shinde, Director General (Training) (DGT) Nareshkumar Chavan, Government Labor Officer Prerna Mohane, District Lead Bank’s Yuvraj Shinde, and SME Chamber of India’s Manesh Bhagat, among others.
Candidates will be provided skill development training in sectors such as Agriculture, Aerospace and Aviation, Automotive, Beauty and Wellness, Capital Goods, Construction, Electronics, Hardware, Gems and Jewelry, Healthcare, Instrumentation, ITI, Media and Entertainment, Tourism and Hospitality, and Energy.
The Minimum Skills Development Program will be implemented at training institutions in areas such as Dahisar, Borivali, Kandivali, Malad, Andheri, Govandi, Chembur, Mulund, and Kurla in Mumbai Suburban district.
Residents of the district who have passed at least 10th or 12th grade are eligible for this program.
