DIG (Southern Range) Pu Altaf Ahmad Khan Visits 2nd Battalion MAP Headquarters at Luangmual

Lunglei : Today, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Southern Range), Pu Altaf Ahmad Khan, IPS, visited the 2nd Battalion MAP Headquarters, Luangmual, Lunglei, as part of his official duties.

Upon his arrival at the 2nd Battalion MAP Headquarters, DIG (SR) was accorded a guard of honor. He then participated in an official meeting at the Commandant’s office chamber. This was followed by a conference in the CO Conference Hall, attended by the Commandant and branch heads, where a formal discussion was held.

During the event, Commandant Pu Francis Lalnuntluanga Ralte delivered a detailed presentation using PowerPoint, showcasing the battalion’s progress and various key activities. Following this, DIG (SR) inspected important sites within the battalion premises and reviewed ongoing developments.

DIG (SR) Pu Altaf Ahmad Khan commended the 2nd Battalion MAP for their achievements, highlighting the significant charity contribution of ₹2 lakh, which he described as exemplary. He expressed his desire to see the good work continue. He also inspected the battalion’s key projects, including the construction of the firing range, the completion of the school compound wall and toilet facilities, and other developmental activities, praising their quality and effectiveness.

During his visit to the Battalion School, students showcased their talents in traditional dance, choir performances, and a pipe band presentation, which were well-received by the DIG.
