“Vice Admiral Gurcharan Singh Assumes Leadership at the National Defence Academy”

Vice Admiral Gurcharan Singh assumed the position of Commandant at the National Defence Academy, succeeding Vice Admiral Ajay Kocchar in Pune on Saturday. A graduate of the National Defence Academy in Khadakwasla, he was commissioned into the Indian Navy on July 1st, 1990. Throughout his career, Vice Admiral Gurcharan Singh has held numerous roles both at sea and onshore. Specializing in Gunnery and Missiles, he has served aboard Indian Naval Ships Ranjit and Prahar. Notably, he was part of the commissioning crew for three Indian-built warships: INS Brahmaputra, INS Shivalik, and INS Kochi.
