Tulsi literature and Indian culture should be promoted – Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, on Wednesday, presided over the meeting of the Managing Committee of Tulsi Manas Pratishthan at Manas Bhawan. During the meeting, Dr. Yadav proposed expanding the activities of the Pratishthan and directed the concerned authorities to implement the plan.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the establishment should focus on promoting the Ramayana, Tulsi literature, and Indian culture. He emphasized the importance of organizing special programmes at religious places like Chitrakoot to engage both youth and scholars. The meeting was attended by Executive Committee Working President Shri Raghunandan Sharma, Convenor Shri Rajendra Sharma, Treasurer Shri Vijay Agarwal, Senior Members Shri Suresh Pachauri and Shri Kailash Joshi, Committee Member, and Collector Bhopal Shri Kaushalendra Vikram Singh, along with other senior officials and members of the committee.
While discussing the upcoming plans for the Pratishthan, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasized the need to connect different sections of society with this initiative to strengthen spiritual and cultural consciousness. He suggested that the Ramayana and Tulsi literature should be made accessible to a wider audience through online platforms. Dr. Yadav also directed the preparation of an outline for upcoming events and an action plan to engage the general public. During the meeting, various suggestions were discussed to make the activities of the Pratishthan more effective. Working President Shri Sharma requested the widening of the road in front of Manas Bhawan and the removal of illegal constructions between Manas Bhawan, Hindi Bhawan, and Gandhi Bhawan. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav instructed Collector Bhopal to take the necessary action.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed the committee that the government is seriously considering the prohibition of liquor in the state. He also announced plans to build a ‘Gita Bhawan’’ in the state to promote the knowledge of the Gita and Indian culture. Dr. Yadav further shared that the government is working towards creating arrangements similar to the holy city of Haridwar in Mahakal city, Ujjain. Sadhus, saints, akharas, and dharamshalas have been granted permission to construct permanent structures in the Simhastha fair area of Ujjain. This initiative will allow the construction of permanent ashrams, monasteries, dharamshalas, and satsang venues. The Collector also informed the committee that a Gita Bhawan will be constructed in Bhopal on approximately one acre of land near TT Nagar on Smart City Road.
The committee members drew the attention of the Chief Minister regarding various issues/works related to the development of the Pratishthan. The Chief Minister seriously considered all the issues/suggestions and assured their early implementation. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also released the monthly main magazine of Tulsi Manas Pratishthan “Tulsi Manas Bharti”.
