Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel Takes a Holy Dip at Triveni Sangam
Mahakumbha Nagar, 07 February: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam during the Prayagraj Mahakumbh, expressing his gratitude for the opportunity. After his ritual bath, he praised the arrangements made by the Yogi government, stating that the facilities were well-organized and problem-free. “Bathing in the Triveni Sangam is a blessing for me,” he said. Before his sacred dip, the Chief Minister offered prayers at the renowned Hanuman Temple and later visited the Gujarat Pavilion in Sector 7.

Sacred Rituals and Praise for Arrangements
Following his dip at the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers, Patel commended the efforts of the central and state governments in organizing the grand event. “The arrangements made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are remarkable. Everything, from cleanliness to facilities, has been excellently managed,” he said. Patel added that the Triveni Sangam is a center of faith, and every devotee feels fortunate to bathe there. Amidst Vedic chants, he performed the traditional arghya to Lord Surya. Accompanying him was Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, who also took a sacred dip. Later, the Chief Minister participated in Ganga Pujan and Ganga Aarti.
Inauguration of a 400-Bed Dormitory
Arriving in Prayagraj by state aircraft at 9 AM, Patel was welcomed by Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi. His first stop was the Hanuman Temple, where he offered prayers amid Vedic recitations. The temple’s head priest, Balbir Giri Ji Maharaj, presented him with a replica of the Hanuman Temple.
Patel then visited the Gujarat Pavilion in Sector 7, where he observed exhibits featuring replicas of the Statue of Unity, Sabarmati Ashram, and Surya Mandir. He also inspected a medical camp, a literature stall, and various other galleries showcasing Gujarat’s cultural and historical heritage. Additionally, he inaugurated a 400-bed dormitory for the convenience of devotees traveling from Gujarat.
