The water of the Kshipra River will soon be purified, ghats will be built on both banks, and boats will operate: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has stated that continuous efforts are underway to make the Kshipra River clean and uninterrupted, and soon its water will be completely purified. Ghats will be built on both banks of the Kshipra near all religious sites to facilitate easy bathing for devotees. Each ghat will be developed similarly to Ramghat. Additionally, boats will be operated in the Kshipra, allowing devotees to reach religious sites. A composite development plan will be prepared by integrating towns around major cities like Ujjain, Indore, Jabalpur, and Gwalior, keeping the next 50 years in mind. The event was attended by Mayor Shri Mukesh Tatwal, MLA of Ujjain North Shri Anil Jain Kaluheda, and Shri Sanjay Agrawal.

On Saturday, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav performed the foundation stone laying and inauguration of various development projects worth Rs 22.72 crore, including a newly constructed G+1 community building with a heritage theme near Moti Nagar, close to the Indore Road Shani Temple Triveni. He remarked that the residents of Moti Nagar have received a significant gift in the form of this community building, which will provide great convenience for organizing social ceremonies, particularly benefiting underprivileged families. The Madhya Pradesh government is working towards improving and positively transforming the lives of every section of society. He expressed pride in being born in Ujjain.

Dr. Yadav also directed administrative officers to develop a plan for constructing permanent houses in place of the existing temporary dwellings in the nearby Reti Ghat residential area. Eligible beneficiaries in rural areas will also receive permanent homes under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Those affected by road widening projects in the city will be compensated with Rs 2.5 lakh each. Every eligible beneficiary will receive the benefits of all government welfare schemes.

The Chief Minister announced that Pepsico will establish its largest plant in Ujjain, which will procure potatoes from local farmers. The government will also provide subsidies for cattle rearing, emphasizing that every cattle owner is a ‘Gopal,’ and every home with cows is a ‘Gokul.’ Efforts will be made to boost milk production, and milk from cows and goats will be purchased by the Milk Federation. A bonus will be provided for higher milk production. The government will support the establishment of factories and small industries to promote self-employment. Dr. Yadav reiterated the commitment to making Madhya Pradesh the best state in the country.

He further stated that Ujjain is developing at a rapid pace. Industrial areas surrounding Ujjain, Indore, Dewas, Dhar, Shajapur, and Maksi-Nagda are also being developed. Five four-lane road projects are currently underway in Ujjain.

Minister of State for Skill Development and Employment and Ujjain’s in-charge minister, Shri Gautam Tetwal, said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has been continuously gifting new projects to Ujjain, and under his visionary leadership, both Ujjain and the entire state are progressing rapidly. MP Shri Anil Firojia described the occasion as memorable, emphasizing that under Dr. Yadav’s leadership, Ujjain is witnessing golden development. Mayor Shri Mukesh Tatwal highlighted that the community building was conceptualized by the Chief Minister and has now been fully constructed, providing great convenience for social functions.

Municipal Corporation Chairperson Smt. Kalavati Yadav, in her welcome speech, mentioned that when Dr. Yadav was previously the Higher Education Minister, he had laid the foundation stone for this community building, and today, his vision has been realized.

Projects Inaugurated and Foundation Stones Laid

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav performed the foundation stone laying and inauguration under the Chief Minister’s Urban Infrastructure Development Scheme, including Reconstruction of food court shops in the swimming pool complex on Dewas Road at a cost of Rs 89 lakh, Development of Paras Talab at a cost of Rs6.91 crore, Development of Vikram Sarovar Talab at a cost of Rs 2 crore, Development work at Dussehra Maidan at a cost of Rs 4.83 crore, Construction of a public shed near the Shani Temple at a cost of Rs 3.62 crore, Inauguration of the community building in Moti Nagar, built at a cost of Rs 4.47 crore.
