Education is most important for progress in life: Governor Shri Patel

Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that education is crucial for progress in life and that no individual or society can move ahead without it. He highlighted the importance of educating children, particularly urging the people of the Sahariya community to focus on educating both sons and daughters. Governor Shri Patel stated that only through education can the community integrate into the mainstream of progress. He shared these thoughts while interacting with the Sahariya community in Chait Gram Panchayat of Gwalior on Monday.

Governor Shri Patel said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has allocated Rs. 24 thousand crores from the Central government for the overall development of the Sahariya, Bharia, and Baiga communities. This funding will help provide essential services such as housing, electricity, water, and health to these communities. Under the PM Janman Yojana, 11 basic facilities will be made available through 9 departments. Concrete efforts are underway to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of this scheme. Governor Shri Patel emphasized that both Central and State government welfare schemes are actively working for the upliftment of these communities. He encouraged Sahariya families to improve their standard of living by utilizing these schemes. He also reminded the community of the great historical figures like Rani Durgavati, Rani Kamalavati, and Birsa Munda, who contributed immensely to society and the nation. Shri Patel urged everyone to draw inspiration from these leaders and work towards advancing their society.

Governor views house built under PM Janman Yojana

Governor Shri Patel visited a house built under the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana in Gram Panchayat Chait. During his visit, he toured the residence of Shri Ajmer Adivasi and took a close look at the house. He also interacted with the beneficiary to discuss the details of the scheme. As part of his visit, Governor Shri Patel had lunch at the residence of Shri Ajmer Adivasi.

CEO Zila Panchayat Shri Vivek Kumar informed Governor Shri Patel that the administration has undertaken several initiatives for the Sahariya families. These families have benefited from various schemes, including Aadhar Card, Ayushman Card, Ladli Behna, and Ladli Laxmi. Under the PM Janman Yojana, selected beneficiaries have been provided pucca houses, and additional housing has been made available under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Furthermore, Anganwadi centers and primary schools are operational in the Gram Panchayat to ensure access to education for children.
