“CM Sai Vows: People First, Promises Kept, Committed to Chhattisgarh’s Growth”
Raipur. “Even today, people regard me as a Chief Minister, not just as one among them, but as someone of their own. Due to my busyness, it is not possible to talk to everyone. I want to always be connected with the people. Some say to me that as Chief Minister, I shouldn’t take everyone’s calls, but I am who I am today because of these people. That’s why I don’t change my nature; I like to stay grounded.”
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said these things in an interview. He added, “It is true that even today I am in direct contact with the people of the area. I always have my phone with me. My number is very old. Since the day the tower was installed in Jashpur district, the number given to me by BSNL has been available to every worker and resident of the Raigarh Parliamentary Constituency. If anyone had a problem, whether it was a power failure, changing a transformer, or installing a hand pump, they would call me directly, and I would solve it.”
Mr. Sai emphasized that the people of Chhattisgarh should not see him as just the Chief Minister but as their servant. “We will fulfill every promise made to them. If you want to give us any suggestion or advice for the development of Chhattisgarh, you can do so through letters or phone calls, and we will accept them as blessings. We are committed to making Chhattisgarh developed.”
Regarding the government’s action plan for the next five years, Vishnu Dev Sai said, “Our first priority will be to fulfill all the promises made in Modi’s guarantee. We will also implement all the central schemes, including Ayushman Yojana, which the previous government did not implement. With the Modi government set to form at the center for the third time, we will ensure that the benefits of all the schemes of the double-engine government reach the most marginalized. Our aim is to promote tourism, eliminate Naxalism, increase the value of over 100 forest products for tribals, and ensure basic facilities and government schemes reach the five Naxal-affected districts through the Niyad Nellanar scheme. We will take any necessary decision in the interest of Chhattisgarh. We will see a developed Chhattisgarh in line with Modi’s vision of a developed India by 2047.”
On the question of promoting tourism, the Chief Minister said, “After the formation of Chhattisgarh, when our government was in power for 15 years, we fought against Naxalism and eradicated it in Sarguja, where it once flourished. Today, only a small area of the Bastar region is affected by Naxalism, but the entire state is still perceived as a Naxalite region, which affects our tourism. We must change this perception. Chhattisgarh has immense potential for tourism, which can attract national attention.”
