Lok Sabha Speaker Reviews Development Projects and Scheme Implementation in Bundi District
Jaipur – Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla conducted a review meeting on Thursday at the Kota Zila Parishad Auditorium to assess the progress of development projects, government schemes, and budget announcements in Bundi district. He provided essential guidelines to officials for effective implementation.
Key Directives for Development and Public Welfare
Shri Birla instructed departmental officials to ensure that government schemes benefit the common people through better coordination. He emphasized the timely completion of development projects so that the public can fully utilize them.
During the review of rural development and Panchayati Raj programs, he directed that works approved under the MP and MLA funds should commence promptly and be completed within the stipulated time. Additionally, he called for pending projects under the Mada phases and CSR initiatives to be accelerated.
He also reviewed employment generation under the Mahatma Gandhi NREGA scheme, ensuring that all eligible individuals receive jobs and that completed houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana are paid for on time. Progress under the “Aao Gaon Chale” campaign was also evaluated.
Infrastructure and Budget Announcements
The Speaker reviewed road construction, strengthening, and renovation projects, stressing the need for high-quality standards in all infrastructure works. He directed officials to expedite budget-announced projects and ensure proper documentation of fund utilization in disaster management works.
Other major directives included:
- Providing essential resources for the medical college
- Fast-tracking the Gardada Project
- Ensuring regular disbursement of old-age pensions
Energy and Agricultural Initiatives
Shri Birla emphasized expanding the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, urging officials to provide solar energy benefits to as many families as possible. He also instructed officials to resolve pending cases with the transmission corporation for timely execution of energy projects and to maintain quality power supply in the district.
For farmers, he directed that agricultural electricity connections should be issued in line with state government guidelines. Additionally, he called for better coordination between the Forest Department and the Power Department for electricity-related matters.
Water Supply and Public Services
The Speaker reviewed drinking water projects managed by the Public Health Engineering Department, stressing the need for preparations ahead of the summer season to ensure an uninterrupted urban and rural water supply. He instructed officials to accelerate the completion of ongoing water projects to prevent water shortages during hot months.
Comprehensive Review of Social and Economic Programs
During the meeting, Shri Birla also reviewed:
- Medical facilities and healthcare services
- Social security pensions and Palanhar scheme under the Social Justice and Empowerment Department
- Agriculture, animal husbandry, and afforestation initiatives
- Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve projects under the MP Local Area Development Scheme
- Food security programs and canal strengthening projects
- Labor welfare and progress across various departments
