Madhya Pradesh among the Fastest Developing States in the Country: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav welcomed Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) from Madhya Pradesh and stated that the state is progressing rapidly. New investment opportunities are emerging in all sectors of development. The state is organising a Regional Industry Conclave to explore investment and development potential in every region. The ongoing GIS Global Investors Summit in Bhopal is in its 8th edition.
Dr. Yadav emphasized that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, NRIs are being introduced to new opportunities in various sectors. To promote investment in IT, pharma, biotech, and other industries, 18 new policies have been implemented. He announced that sector-wise summits will begin with the agriculture sector. A simplified process and a business-friendly environment have been established for investors. He warmly welcomed NRIs and investors, affirming that all sectors are open for investment.
Expressing his deep connection with NRIs from Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Yadav stated that when a resident of Madhya Pradesh becomes the Mayor of London, the celebrations take place here as well. Similarly, when someone with roots in Madhya Pradesh attains the position of Chief Minister in Zimbabwe, it is a moment of joy for the state. He highlighted that this emotional bond and collective strength of Madhya Pradesh reflect the pride in the achievements of its people worldwide. Dr. Yadav extended a warm welcome to NRIs, members of “Friends of MP,” and “India Connect” at the Global Investors Summit’s “Pravasi Madhya Pradesh Summit.”
Dr. Yadav stressed the crucial role of NRIs in creating new employment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh. He appealed to them to invest in the state and become partners in its development. He assured that the Madhya Pradesh government would provide all possible support to investors and is committed to making the state a global investment destination.
The Significance of Mahakal’s Bhasma Aarti
Dr. Yadav made a special mention of the sacred “Bhasma Aarti” of Baba Mahakal, stating that it embodies profound life principles. In this ritual, the body is first purified with Panchamrit, followed by traditional worship, and finally covered with sacred ash (Bhasma). He explained that the Bhasma Aarti symbolizes the journey from birth to death, constantly reminding people to strive for excellence and complete their responsibilities on time. He highlighted Ujjain as not just a spiritual city but also the City of “Kaal” (time).
Referring to the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela, he described it as a spiritual congregation, whereas the Global Investors Summit represents a worldly and economic congregation. During the event, Dr. Yadav launched a Virtual Reality (VR) headset service for rare Bhasma Aarti darshan, which will be available at the Veethi Sankul.
Dr. Yadav emphasized the importance of time management and action, citing Lord Krishna’s teachings in the Bhagavad Gita, which advocate working for the upliftment of society. He urged successful NRIs to invest in Madhya Pradesh, stating that their contribution would not only strengthen the state’s economy but also positively impact thousands of lives.
In collaboration with “Friends of MP (UK Chapter),” he unveiled a tourism promotion framework to enhance Madhya Pradesh’s tourism globally.
Madhya Pradesh Government to Provide Full Support
Principal Secretary of the NRI Department, Shri Sandeep Yadav, assured that while policy decisions are taken by the central government, the Madhya Pradesh government will provide full support in resolving local issues. Shri Suvidh Shah, Executive Director of MPIDC, elaborated on various foreign trade provisions and business collaboration opportunities in Madhya Pradesh.
NRIs and Industrialists Applaud Madhya Pradesh’s Progress
Jitendra Vaidya, President of Friends of MP (UAE Chapter), praised Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s strong and development-focused vision, attributing Madhya Pradesh’s rapid progress in all sectors to his leadership.
Sanjay Nagarkar, a leading investor from Hong Kong and Global President of India Connect, commended the state’s industrial advancements. He highlighted that Madhya Pradesh is consistently improving in ease of doing business and has immense logistical potential. He revealed that India Connect Group has committed to an investment of Rs 65,000 crore shortly, with an MoU worth Rs 6,500 crore already signed. Additionally, India Connect Group is planning an MoU with Barkatullah University for biochemistry research and will also work in the field of skill development.
The summit saw participation from Buckinghamshire (London) Mayor Sushri. Prerna Bhardwaj, Shri Rohit Dixit (President, Friends of MP Boston Chapter), Mr. Jagannath Sai (High Commissioner of Fiji), Shri Raj Modi (Zimbabwe), and several NRIs associated with Madhya Pradesh. Short films highlighting investment opportunities in the state were also showcased during the event.
