Films Showcasing Patriotism, Courage, and Glorious History Will Be Encouraged: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav
Special Screening of the Film “Chhava” at Open Theater
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav watched the film Chhava today, which depicts the life and struggles of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the ruler of the 17th century. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film has been declared tax-free by the Madhya Pradesh government.

The special screening of the film took place at the open theatre in the Ashoka Lake View complex. Apart from Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Assembly Speaker Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Jagdish Devda, cabinet ministers, and several public representatives attended the event and praised the film.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav described the movie as an inspiring film that conveys a strong message of patriotism. He stated that the Madhya Pradesh government will encourage films based on historical backgrounds that introduce people to India’s glorious history. The state government will fully support cinema that portrays the struggles and sacrifices of India’s brave rulers and patriots.
Dr. Yadav emphasized that just as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was courageous and valiant, his son Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj was equally brave. He was a ruler who set an extraordinary example of patriotism, sacrificing his life for the nation. He appreciated how the film was vividly brought over 300 years ago to life on the big screen, congratulating the filmmakers, director, and actors for their commendable efforts.
Dr. Yadav also remarked that while the world is undergoing significant turmoil today, under the capable leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is progressing while preserving its heritage and culture. Watching such a film alongside public representatives was a truly pleasant experience for him. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also recited a poetic composition dedicated to the bravery of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj on this occasion.
