New Industrial Policy in Chhattisgarh Boosts Investment, Chief Minister Provides Detailed Information to Prime Minister
Raipur : Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai met Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today and held a detailed discussion on the state’s development. During this meeting, he presented the blueprint of the Bastar Development Master Plan before the Prime Minister. In this meeting, Chief Minister Shri Sai presented the Bastar Development Master Plan to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, which included the framework for developing Naxal-affected areas as hubs of basic infrastructure, industries, and tourism. The Prime Minister responded positively to this plan and assured full support from the central government.
Chief Minister Shri Sai informed the Prime Minister that Naxalism in Chhattisgarh has reached its final stage. Due to the organized strategy of security forces and public participation, rapid transformation is taking place in Naxal-affected areas. He stated that the joint efforts of the police and central forces have brought development to several Naxal strongholds, strengthening public trust in government initiatives. The government’s entire focus is now on developing Bastar as a new industrial and economic center, providing employment opportunities for youth and improving the living standards of tribal communities.
During the meeting with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Shri Sai also had a detailed discussion on the state’s new industrial policy and the growing interest of investors.
The Chief Minister stated that to facilitate investment, the government has implemented single-window clearance, tax exemptions, and favorable policies, attracting large companies to invest in Chhattisgarh.
In this meeting, Chief Minister Shri Sai emphasized that women’s empowerment and rural development are the government’s priorities. He mentioned that concrete efforts are being made to make rural women self-reliant through self-employment schemes. Under this initiative, women self-help groups are being strengthened to ensure their financial independence.
The Chief Minister briefed the Prime Minister on the efforts being made by the state government to make rural women of Bastar self-reliant. He informed that thousands of women are gaining financial independence and self-employment opportunities through women self-help groups in Bastar. By promoting minor forest produce, organic farming, handloom, bamboo industries, and handicrafts, women are not only finding livelihood opportunities but also strengthening the local economy. Additionally, efforts are being made to connect Bastar’s women with production and marketing through startups and small industries, enabling them to become self-reliant and contribute to the state’s economic progress.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Shri Sai shared the outline of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s proposed visit to Chhattisgarh on March 30. During this visit, the Prime Minister will inaugurate various key development projects in the state. The Chief Minister discussed the preparations for this visit in detail and briefed the Prime Minister on the progress of ongoing development projects in Chhattisgarh.
