Ensure Cleanliness and Public Facilities in Temples During Chaitra Navratri: CM Yogi Adityanath

Ayodhya : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday reviewed the development works, law and order, and preparations for Shri Ram Navami and Shri Ram Janmotsav in the Ayodhya division. The review meeting was held at the Commissioner’s Auditorium. The Chief Minister emphasized that with Chaitra Navratri beginning on March 30, all major Devi temples and religious sites should be kept clean, and necessary public amenities should be ensured.

CM Yogi Adityanath Issues Directives

The Chief Minister praised the innovative crowd management and smooth darshan arrangements made by the administrative and police teams of the Ayodhya division during Maha Kumbh 2025. He directed that the experience gained from Maha Kumbh should be utilized for preparations for the Shri Ram Navami festival.

He instructed officials to coordinate with neighboring districts and establish holding areas equipped with basic facilities. He also encouraged social organizations to set up food distribution points (langars) and fruit stalls. Given the summer heat, he stressed the importance of providing pilgrims with essential amenities such as drinking water and cleanliness.

CM Yogi further directed that water ATMs be installed at various locations for clean drinking water. The municipal corporation should implement a three-time cleaning schedule (morning, afternoon, and evening). Additionally, major temples, ghats, and the Saryu River should be thoroughly cleaned, and both locals and devotees should be encouraged to maintain cleanliness.

Strict action will be taken against encroachments, ensuring that roads and footpaths remain accessible. Dedicated vending zones should be set up for street vendors. To provide relief from the heat, canopies should be installed along the paths leading to Hanuman Garhi and Shri Ram Lalla’s temple, and mats should be laid on the ground to protect devotees’ feet from the sun. Adequate e-buses should be arranged to transport pilgrims from key locations to the temple.

To enhance the spiritual experience, Ram bhajans and devotional songs will be broadcast throughout Ayodhya Dham. CM Yogi also emphasized that hotels, dharamshalas, and homestays must adhere to fixed price lists, and police personnel stationed at religious sites should maintain friendly behavior with devotees.

State Government’s Achievements to Be Showcased

CM Yogi announced that on March 25, 26, and 27, public events will be held in all districts to highlight eight years of the state government’s service, security, and good governance, as well as 11 years of the central government’s tenure. On March 25, district ministers will inaugurate a three-day fair featuring exhibitions on key government initiatives.

A special short film showcasing Maha Kumbh 2025’s success will be screened, alongside exhibitions on welfare schemes such as PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, women’s empowerment, youth employment, and social security programs. Eminent personalities will speak on themes like agriculture, trade, and infrastructure development. Outstanding citizens will also be honored, and cultural programs will be organized.

The Chief Minister directed that nodal officers be appointed to monitor major projects, ensuring regular reviews and progress updates. He also stressed the immediate repair of roads dug up for pipeline work under the Jal Jeevan Mission to facilitate smooth traffic movement.

With crops nearing harvest, CM Yogi ordered that all necessary arrangements be made in markets for grain procurement. He also emphasized setting up village secretariats in panchayat offices for online public services. Given the rising temperatures, fire tenders should be stationed at tehsil headquarters to handle emergencies swiftly.

All officials were instructed to conduct regular public hearings to resolve citizen complaints promptly and accelerate the disposal of revenue cases through structured reviews at the tehsil, district, and divisional levels.

Focus on Law and Order

During the law and order review, CM Yogi directed an increase in police patrolling and strict action against criminals. He also engaged with public representatives from different districts to discuss development projects and directed officials to take necessary action based on their inputs.

The meeting was attended by Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, Cabinet Minister Rakesh Sachan, Mayor Mahant Girish Pati Tripathi, District Panchayat President Roli Singh, MLAs Ved Prakash Gupta, Ramchandra Yadav, Chandrabhanu Paswan, Abhay Singh, MLC Hari Om Pandey, and other public representatives, along with virtual participation from officials of other districts in the division.
