Raipur : Chhattisgarh witnessed a historic moment as Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai unveiled a commemorative postal stamp in honor of Bhakt Mata Karma’s 1009th Jayanti at the Karmadham Complex in Raipur. This stamp not only immortalizes Mata Karma’s devotion, sacrifice, and dedication, but also brings national recognition to the rich cultural heritage and prestigious history of the Sahu community.
On this occasion, CM Sai offered prayers at the Bhakt Mata Karma temple, seeking prosperity and well-being for the people of the state. He also blessed newlywed couples during a community marriage ceremony, appreciating the unity and cultural values of the society.
CM Sai emphasized that Mata Karma’s life is an epitome of devotion, sacrifice, and unwavering faith. By issuing a postal stamp in her memory, future generations will find inspiration in her legacy. Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Central Government, he acknowledged their role in fulfilling this long-standing demand of the Sahu community.
Additionally, CM Sai announced that ₹5 crore, previously allocated for the installation of Rajim Mata’s idol and other development projects, has now been formally included in the budget, ensuring the enhancement of religious sites.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao expressed his reverence for Mata Karma, stating that her blessings bring prosperity to both society and the state. He highlighted that the commemorative stamp symbolizes the honor and respect for maternal strength.
Union Minister of State Shri Tokhan Sahu described the postal stamp issuance as a moment of pride for the Teli community, emphasizing that it symbolizes the national recognition of Mata Karma’s struggles, service, and sacrifices.
During the event, Chhattisgarh Sahu Samaj President Shri Tahal Singh Sahu delivered the welcome address.
A significant highlight of the ceremony was the “Golden Book of World Records” honor awarded to Sant Mata Karma Ashram Shaktipeeth, Raipur, for its social contributions, marking a proud achievement for the entire community.
The grand event witnessed the presence of MLAs Shri Motilal Sahu, Shri Pawan Sai, Shri Dipesh Sahu, Shri Sandeep Sahu, Director of Postal Services Shri Dinesh Mistry, along with numerous representatives of the Sahu community, dignitaries, and devotees.
