Geo-Tagging of Schools with All Physical Facilities – CM Devendra Fadnavis

Review Meeting of 100-Day Action Plan for 22 Departments

Instructions for Solar Energy Implementation in Government Offices Funded by District Planning
Implementation of ITMS System for Road Safety

Mumbai : Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has directed that all schools in the state be geo-tagged, including details of available physical facilities such as drinking water and toilets. He also instructed the concerned department to verify the current status of recognized schools. Additionally, CM Fadnavis ordered that all government offices receiving funds from the District Planning Committee should implement solar energy solutions for their buildings.

CM Fadnavis conducted a review of the 100-day action plan for 22 departments at Sahyadri Guest House. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, concerned ministers, ministers of state, Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik, additional chief secretaries, principal secretaries, secretaries, and other senior officials.

CM Fadnavis emphasized that while implementing solar energy in government buildings, the responsibility for managing the system for the next five years should be assigned to the supplier company. Proper maintenance of solar panels should be ensured. The government is already providing subsidies for solar-powered pumps up to 7.5 horsepower, and where booster pumps are needed, they should be installed accordingly.

Priority to Government Schools Under RTE, Road Safety & ITMS Implementation

Suggesting amendments to the Right to Education (RTE) Act, CM Fadnavis stressed that while granting admissions under the prescribed distance limit, priority should be given to government schools. He also highlighted the importance of road safety, directing that an Integrated Traffic Management System (ITMS) be implemented to prevent road accidents. This system would effectively curb traffic violations and enable quick identification and rectification of accident-prone zones.

Online System for Building Approvals in Mumbai

To streamline building approvals within Mumbai, CM Fadnavis instructed that the Building Planning Management System (BPMS) be effectively implemented. This initiative will help improve Mumbai’s global ranking. Additionally, he directed that online facilities be introduced for the Transfer of Development Rights (TDR) process, for which an electronic platform, e-TDR, should be launched.

CM Fadnavis acknowledged that under the 100-day program, departments have performed commendably on green and yellow-marked targets. He urged officials to focus on red-marked pending issues and complete them by May 1. Each department must publish details of completed and pending projects, along with reasons for delays, in the public domain on their official websites.

Revenue Generation for ST Corporation & Future Planning

Deputy CM Eknath Shinde suggested that the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (ST) should formulate its own advertising policy and appoint a consultant to enhance revenue. He also emphasized that the 100-day action plan has ensured efficient public services, and departments should continue working within set deadlines in the future as well.

The review covered the progress of all 22 departments. Among the total agenda points, 44% of issues have been fully addressed, while 37% are in the final stages and are expected to be completed within the stipulated time. However, 19 issues remain unresolved, and departments provided details regarding the challenges in their completion.
