CM Devendra Fadnavis Reviews Preparations for 16th Finance Commission’s Visit
Mumbai : The 16th Finance Commission is scheduled to visit Maharashtra on May 8 and 9, 2025. In view of this upcoming visit, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reviewed the ongoing preparations by the concerned departments and agencies.
A review meeting was held at Sahyadri Guest House, chaired by CM Fadnavis, to assess the preparations for the Commission’s visit. Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, Minister of State for Finance Ashish Jaiswal, Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik, Additional Chief Secretary to the CM Vikas Kharge, Principal Secretary Ashwini Bhide, Secretary Srikar Pardeshi, Chairman of the State Finance Commission Mukesh Khullar, Member S. Chandrashekhar, Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) O.P. Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary (Planning) Dr. Rajgopal Deora, Additional Chief Secretary to the Deputy CM’s Office Asimkumar Gupta, Principal Secretary (Finance) Saurabh Vijay, Secretary (Finance) A. Shaila, and other senior officials were present.
During the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary O.P. Gupta made a detailed presentation regarding the preparations being carried out by the Finance Department for the two-day visit.
