Bandra Government Colony: Committee to Be Formed Soon to Finalize Land Allocation Criteria – Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde
Mumbai : A decision has been taken to form a committee to determine the criteria for allotting land for the cooperative housing society of officers and employees residing in the Bandra Government Colony. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde today directed that this committee be constituted as early as possible.
At Sahyadri Guest House, office-bearers of the officers’ cooperative housing society from the Bandra Government Colony met the Deputy Chief Minister. A detailed discussion regarding the matter was held during this meeting. Former MLA Kiran Pawaskar, Additional Chief Secretary to the Deputy CM Aseem Gupta, Secretary of the Public Works Department Sanjay Dashpute, and office-bearers of the housing society were present.
Pawaskar mentioned that a decision had already been made to allot land to this cooperative society. A government resolution was issued in October 2024 to define the criteria and eligibility for land allotment to the cooperative housing society of government officials and staff. The society representatives demanded the immediate formation of the committee as per that resolution.
During the meeting itself, Deputy Chief Minister Shinde contacted the Additional Chief Secretary of the Public Works Department over the phone and instructed him to form the committee without delay.
