Government Schools to Get Quality and Modern Educational Facilities – Aditi Tatkare

Alibag : Through the CSR funds of BPCL, 110 computers and 60 digital smart boards have been installed in nine schools under the jurisdiction of Roha Ashtami Municipal Council.

“This is just the beginning. Our commitment is to continue such initiatives in the future and provide government schools with quality and modern educational facilities,” stated Women and Child Development Minister Ms. Aditi Tatkare at Dr. C. D. Deshmukh Secondary School in Roha.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Tatkare said, “This initiative was conceptualized by MP Sunil Tatkare, and we have always given top priority to the field of education. What the previous generation missed out on, we are determined to provide to today’s generation. Quality education, similar to that offered by private schools, must also be accessible in Marathi and semi-English medium schools. This initiative is a step in that direction, and it will help build greater trust among parents and students.”

While working on various central government committees, MP Tatkare has placed special emphasis not only on project management or employment generation in the petroleum sector but also on utilizing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds for education, sports, and social initiatives.

Under this initiative, nearly ₹1.90 crore has been invested not only in digital smart boards but also in setting up well-equipped computer labs in all schools. With this, Roha Municipal Council becomes the first ‘Category C’ council to equip all its schools simultaneously with a comprehensive digital learning system.

Present on the occasion were Roha-Ashtami Municipal Council’s Administrator and Chief Officer Ajaykumar Edke, the school’s principal, teachers, all council officers and staff, along with students.
