Ayodhya : On the auspicious occasion of Ram Janmotsav, Ayodhya transformed into a divine fortress of devotion, celebration, and security under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This year, Ram Navami was celebrated in a historic and grand manner. Alongside the immense crowd of devotees, tight security measures and advanced technological tools were deployed. Ayodhya was turned into an impenetrable fort to prevent any untoward incident and to ensure smooth darshan for pilgrims. All major entry points of the city were barricaded, while activities were closely monitored through CCTV and drone surveillance. To manage the crowd pressure, heavy vehicles were restricted from entering the Lucknow-Gorakhpur highway a day in advance.

800 Schoolchildren Illuminate the Evening with Lamps
In the evening, the Tourism Department organized a grand Deepotsav at Chaudhary Charan Singh Ghat. The goal was to light 2.51 lakh earthen lamps, which was achieved with the dedicated efforts of around 800 schoolchildren facilitated by the Education Department. Local MLA Ved Prakash Gupta lit the first lamp, marking the beginning of the festivities. As the ghat glowed with the radiance of thousands of lamps, chants of “Jai Shri Ram” echoed through the air. Beautiful rangoli art depicting Lord Ram added to the spiritual ambience, captivating both devotees and tourists. Until late at night, people continued to arrive, capturing selfies and immortalizing this historic moment. Under the leadership of the Yogi government, Ayodhya is being shaped to reflect the divine aura of the Treta Yuga, allowing people to experience the sanctity and spirituality of Lord Ram’s era.

Artists Win Hearts at Ramkatha Park
Cultural programs continued late into the night near the paved parking beside Ramkatha Park. Local artists won the hearts of the audience through devotional songs and dramatic renditions of Ram Leela. Various episodes of the Ramayana were portrayed vividly, emotionally engaging all who were present. The event not only had religious significance but also highlighted the rich cultural legacy of Ayodhya.
