India Extends Lifesaving Aid to Myanmar Under Operation Brahma
Myanmar – India’s humanitarian mission, Operation Brahma, continues to provide critical support to earthquake-affected communities in Myanmar. On Sunday, an Indian Air Force C-17 aircraft delivered essential supplies to restock the Indian Army’s field hospital and food aid for distressed communities.
The Indian Embassy in Myanmar shared on social media platform X that the field hospital has already treated 800 patients and received high praise, including a visit from Senior General Min Aung Hlaing. The facility is playing a vital role in delivering much-needed medical care to survivors in the region.
In addition to delivering aid, the C-17 aircraft also transported back the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team following the successful completion of their mission. On Saturday, India had also sent 442 tonnes of food supplies to Myanmar to help with ongoing relief operations after the devastating earthquake that hit the country last month.
Operation Brahma reflects India’s commitment to regional solidarity and timely humanitarian assistance, reinforcing strong bilateral ties and standing by Myanmar in times of crisis.
