Message of “Ahimsa Parmo Dharma” by Lord Mahavir Will Always Remain Relevant: CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Lord Mahavir’s message of “Ahimsa Parmo Dharma” (Non-violence is the supreme religion) has been relevant since the dawn of civilization and will continue to remain so in the future. The teachings of Mahavir Swami guide us on the path of peace, harmony, and mutual understanding. “Live and Let Live” is not merely a slogan but a principle that we should embrace and practice in our lives.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed that the state government has announced the formation of a Jain Welfare Board. He was addressing the oath-taking ceremony of the All India Shwetambar Sthanakvasi Jain Conference held in Indore via virtual mode from the Chief Minister’s residence.
Dr. Yadav praised the Jain community for its unwavering commitment to the principle of “Live and Let Live,” calling it truly exemplary. The core life values of truth, non-violence, non-stealing, celibacy, and non-possessiveness are inspired by Mahavir Swami and other Tirthankaras, he said. The Jain community’s dedication to compassion towards all living beings is commendable. Jainism teaches us disciplined living and selfless service.
Dr. Yadav added that on the recent occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, prayers were offered for the welfare of the world through the Universal Navkar Mantra. The new resolutions shared by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on that occasion pave the way for universal well-being and ecological upliftment in today’s context. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, India is becoming not only socially and economically empowered but also providing spiritual guidance to the world.
The event was attended by Conference President Shri Hulas Betala, Senior Vice President Shri Mukesh Raka, Treasurer Shri Rajesh Jhama, and Provincial General Secretary Shri Piyush Jain.
