JLN Hospital Serves the Entire Division: Shri Vasudev Devnani

Speaking at the event, Assembly Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani emphasized the significance of JLN Hospital in serving the entire division, particularly the people of Ajmer and Nagaur. He thanked Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma for his wholehearted support, highlighting that more than ₹2000 crore has already been allocated for the hospital’s development. An additional ₹65 crore has been sanctioned for the Super Specialty Block in the first phase, and ₹50 crore will be used to address waterlogging issues during monsoons.

Ongoing construction of a new medical college campus, a surgical block with a trauma center, and a PG hostel for women’s hospital will further boost healthcare infrastructure. Shri Devnani also lauded the “Swabhiman Bhojan” scheme, which provides meals to patients and attendants at just ₹1.

He stressed the need to increase faculty strength to match the rising number of beds and emphasized the urgent requirement for a dedicated cardiology faculty. Paying tribute to the late Dr. Mahla, a noted cardiologist, he urged everyone to draw inspiration from his dedication. He called for sufficient staffing at local dispensaries, especially as seasonal illnesses rise during the summer, and emphasized that no person should be deprived of medical care. He invited collective support to realize the vision of a Healthy and Excellent Ajmer.

A Major Gift for Healthcare: Health Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Khimsar

Medical and Health Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Khimsar stated that a qualified faculty for the cardiology department will be appointed soon. He described the new Medicine Block as a significant addition to healthcare services, especially amid growing population and lifestyle-related diseases. With centralized nursing stations and bedside oxygen availability, patient care will become more efficient.

He remarked that for a sick person, a doctor is akin to God, and the profession of medicine is a noble calling. Over 23,000 new recruitments have been made under the current government, with transparent postings through an online portal. The government is also considering expanding the MAA Voucher Scheme to allow patients treatment portability across hospitals. “Ayushman Arogya Mandirs” will be established as needed. Plans for equipping Ajmer with medical tools and resources are also being formulated.

Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Shri Bhagirath Choudhary highlighted the strong faith patients have in doctors, and said the new Medicine Block would greatly benefit the entire region. He linked the effort to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making India a developed nation by 2047, emphasizing the critical role of good health in achieving that goal. He praised the dedication of doctors and nursing staff, and noted that the new facility is well-equipped with modern infrastructure.

Vacancies Must Be Filled Promptly: Water Resources Minister Shri Suresh Singh Rawat
