Special Interview with Environment Minister Pankaja Munde on ‘Dilkhulas’ and ‘Jai Maharashtra’ Programs for World Earth Day
Mumbai – On the occasion of World Earth Day, a special interview with Maharashtra’s Minister for Environment and Climate Change, Pankaja Munde, will be broadcast on the ‘Dilkhulas’ and ‘Jai Maharashtra’ programs, produced by the Directorate General of Information and Public Relations (DGIPR).
The ‘Dilkhulas’ interview will air on Tuesday, April 22 and Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 7:25 AM to 7:40 AM on All India Radio stations across Maharashtra and on the News On AIR mobile app. Additionally, the interview will be featured in the ‘Jai Maharashtra’ program on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 8:00 PM on the DGIPR’s social media platforms via the links provided below. World Earth Day is celebrated globally on April 22 every year to promote environmental awareness and protection. To mark this occasion, the Department of Environment and Climate Change will organize a series of activities from April 22 to May 1, 2025, culminating on Maharashtra Day, under the theme of “Reverence to the Earth.”
The campaign will kick off on April 22 with a cleanliness drive at Powai Lake, Mumbai, and will extend across the state, covering the cleaning of water sources in every village, including rivers, streams, ponds, and lakes.
In the ‘Dilkhulas’ and ‘Jai Maharashtra’ interviews, Minister Pankaja Munde will elaborate on the various initiatives and their implementation plans being undertaken by the department in connection with this campaign.
