‘WAVES 2025’ in Mumbai: A Sea of Innovation and Technology Showcased at Global AV & Entertainment Summit
Mumbai – The ‘WAVES 2025’ Global Audio-Visual and Entertainment Summit, organized by the Central Government and hosted by the Government of Maharashtra, will be held at the Jio World Centre in BKC, Mumbai from May 1 to 4, 2025. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the summit, joined by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, and Industries Minister Uday Samant.
Ministers, policymakers, business leaders, and CEOs from over 100 countries are expected to attend. The summit aims to significantly boost India’s creative economy, with special focus on the rapidly growing media and entertainment sectors, including OTT, animation, gaming, VFX, film, music, and digital media.
The event will feature panel discussions, industry investments, and various programs. On the opening day, the ‘India and Maharashtra Pavilion’ and the WAVES exhibition will be inaugurated, along with key announcements and MoUs. Launches like the Creatosphere, WAVES Bazaar, and WAVES Accelerator are also lined up. Day two will include a global media dialogue, an interaction between CM Fadnavis and CEOs, and the final round of the ‘Create in India Challenges.’ The third and fourth days will host more sessions and exhibitions.
