CM Yogi inspects Dudhwa Tiger Reserve, felicitates Tharu community women with certificates
Lakhimpur Kheri : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inspected the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve on Saturday, toured stalls, interacted with the Tharu community, and honored women with certificates of appreciation for their outstanding contributions.
Upon his arrival, women from the Tharu community welcomed the Chief Minister. He visited exhibitions showcasing banana-based products supported by NABARD and displays set up by women from self-help groups. Impressed by their efforts, the Chief Minister awarded certificates to several women for their exceptional work.
During the inspection, CM Yogi also reviewed initiatives aimed at minimizing human-wildlife conflict. He observed exhibitions by WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature) featuring tranquilizer guns, trail cameras, drones, and the Rapid Response Team (RRT) set-up. Additionally, he interacted with medical professionals present at the reserve.
The Chief Minister also interacted with foreign tourists during his visit. He inquired about the arrangements at the reserve. The foreign tourists expressed satisfaction with the facilities. The CM instructed forest officials to take care of all visitors and ensure that all necessary services are provided.
He also visited the Salukapur Elephant Camp. There, he named a baby elephant “Bhavani.” He also fed four elephants with fodder, bananas, and other treats.
During the visit, Cabinet Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, Minister-in-Charge Nitin Agrawal, Tourism Minister Jaiveer Singh, Minister of State for Forests (Independent Charge) Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena, Minister of State KP Malik, Principal Secretary (Forests) Anil Kumar, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Department Sunil Chaudhary, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) Anuradha Vemuri, Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh Forest Corporation KK Singh, Field Director of Dudhwa Tiger Reserve H. Rajmohan, and Deputy Director Saurish Sahay were present.
