Insurance of Rail Passengers

United India Insurance Company Limited (UIIC), one of the largest General Insurance Companies in India (wholly owned by Government of India) with Annual Premium Income of more than Rs. 20,000 crores for the F.Y. 2024-25 is one of the Official Insurers for Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC).

Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is an Indian public sector undertaking that provides ticketing, catering and tourism services for the state-owned Indian Railways.

Today, United India Insurance Company Limited celebrated one year of partnership with IRCTC at its  Head Office at Chennai.

UIIC’s Large Corporate Cell – Chennai office has covered a record number of 14 crores passengers in a span of one year under Optional Travel Insurance Scheme launched by IRCTC.

On this special occasion, Chairman cum Managing Director of United India Insurance Company Limited, Shri Bhupesh S. Rahul, shared his vision for the future, stating that the United India Insurance Company Limited will enter into many more such partnerships in the coming days, they continue to expand their commitment to customer service and public welfare.

UIIC also issues policies for the prestigious Maharaja Express and Golden Chariot, as well as Domestic Travel Insurance for IRCTC passengers.
