Minister Orders Quality, Timely Completion of Dholpur Water Projects

Ensure Quality and Timely Execution in Drinking Water Projects: Public Health Engineering Minister
In-depth Review of Jal Jeevan Mission Progress in Dholpur District – Directives Issued for Speed and Quality in Water Projects

Jaipur : Public Health Engineering and Ground Water Department Minister Mr. Kanhaiyalal Chaudhary conducted a detailed review of the ongoing drinking water projects in Dholpur district at the Collectorate auditorium on Thursday. He issued clear instructions to officials to complete all projects within the stipulated timelines without compromising on quality. He emphasized that the state government’s primary goal is to ensure clean, safe, and uninterrupted drinking water for every citizen.

The Minister stressed that the success of any project depends on its quality and timeliness. He warned officials to take strict disciplinary action against contractors who fail to comply with tender conditions or show negligence in execution.

Coordination with Public Representatives for Permanent Solutions
During the meeting, Mr. Chaudhary interacted with local public representatives to gather suggestions on water-related issues and directed officials to frame long-term solutions with their help. He noted the importance of understanding ground realities and incorporating them into planning to ensure water supply reaches every village and hamlet.

Plan Projects with Future Needs in Mind
Considering the rapid pace of urbanization and the expected expansion of rural areas, the Minister instructed that all projects should be designed with a long-term vision. He emphasized that the water supply capacity of current projects should be made adaptable to meet future demands.

Speed and Quality in Jal Jeevan Mission Execution
While reviewing progress under the Jal Jeevan Mission, the Minister directed that all activities be completed swiftly, transparently, and with high quality to fulfill the mission’s goal of “Har Ghar Jal” (Water from Tap for Every Household). He instructed officials to ensure mandatory pressure testing after laying pipelines before refilling the trenches. He also stressed timely removal of debris after excavation and restoration of roads to their original condition.

Crackdown on Illegal Water Connections
Mr. Chaudhary instructed officials to launch a campaign against illegal water connections. He reiterated that drinking water is limited and should only be used for domestic purposes. Any use for agricultural or commercial purposes should lead to police FIRs being filed.

During the meeting, District Collector Shreenidhi B.T. gave a comprehensive update on the current status, progress, and challenges of the Jal Jeevan Mission and other drinking water projects in the district.

Additional Chief Engineer of Public Health Engineering, Mr. Mohan Lal Meena, and Additional Chief Engineer of the Chambal Project, Mr. Surendra Sharma, shared technical progress updates and details of distribution systems.

On this occasion, Bari MLA Mr. Jaswant Singh Gurjar, Superintending Engineer H.K. Agrawal, and other concerned officials were also present.
