Orientation Session on NALSA’s ‘Jagriti’ and ‘DAWN’ Schemes Held – Volunteers Trained on the Harmful Effects of Drugs on Children – Meeting Organized to Prevent Child Marriage
Jaipur : Under the aegis of RALSA and chaired by Mrs. Rita Tejpal, Chairperson of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Jaipur Metropolitan-II and District & Sessions Judge, an orientation session was conducted on the ‘Jagriti’ and ‘DAWN’ schemes issued by NALSA. In addition, a meeting was held with representatives from various departments regarding the operational procedures of ‘ASHA’—an initiative to prevent child marriage.
The meeting focused on the prevention of child marriage and the rehabilitation of affected children. Emphasis was placed on ensuring that people at the grassroots level are well-informed about government-run welfare schemes. A resolution was passed to coordinate with various departments to promote these schemes among the public through para-legal volunteers.
Pallavi Sharma, Secretary of DLSA Jaipur Metro-II and Additional District & Sessions Judge, stated that during the training, plans were made to conduct awareness programs in schools, prisons, and neighborhoods to educate about the harmful effects of drug use. It was also decided to identify drug addicts and ensure their admission into de-addiction centers, followed by proper rehabilitation. The medical department was directed to take necessary steps in this regard.
