Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s Investment Efforts Yield Major Success

Bhopal, June 2026 : Following sustained efforts of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav to position Madhya Pradesh as a preferred destination for global investment, Madhya Pradesh has achieved a major success. Investors confidence has increased manifold in national and international investment outreach initiatives, regional industry conclaves and global investment dialogues. As part of these efforts, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will perform the Bhoomi Poojan of Haleon’s first manufacturing facility in India at the Smart Industrial Park in Pithampur on June 8.

The project is an outcome of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s visit to the United Kingdom and the investment dialogues held there. Following extensive discussions with investors and a compelling presentation of Madhya Pradesh’s industrial strengths, Haleon decided to expand its investment footprint in the state. The investment proposal has now entered the implementation stage, reflecting the State Government’s commitment to ensuring the swift execution of investment projects on the ground.

With an investment of approximately ₹2,000 crore, the project is among the most significant foreign investment ventures currently taking shape in Madhya Pradesh. The state-of-the-art facility, to be developed across more than 40 acres in Pithampur’s Smart Industrial Park, will primarily manufacture oral healthcare products. In addition to catering to domestic market demand, products manufactured at the facility will be exported to several countries across the Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa regions.

The project is expected to generate around 500 direct and 500 indirect employment opportunities. It will also create new opportunities for local MSMEs, supplier networks, transportation, logistics, and allied industries. The company will place special emphasis on skill development of local talent and ensuring that at least 30 per cent of its workforce comprises women. With a strong focus on employing local talent, the project is expected to further boost economic activity in the region.  Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Madhya Pradesh has made remarkable progress in attracting investments in recent years. Robust industrial infrastructure, investor-friendly policies, streamlined approval mechanisms, availability of land and a conducive business environment have established the state as an attractive investment destination for global companies. Investments made by several international corporations in recent years stand as testimony to this growing confidence.

The Haleon project marks a significant milestone in Madhya Pradesh’s journey towards becoming a global manufacturing and export hub. The investment will further strengthen the state’s efforts in industrial development, employment generation, export promotion, and global investment attraction, while playing an important role in advancing the vision of a Viksit Madhya Pradesh.
