Flood Relief Operations Begin with Army Assistance in Khadki-Walki Area
Ahilyanagar – Continuous heavy rainfall has caused a severe flood situation in the villages of Khadki and Walki in the Ahilyanagar taluka. Water levels have risen up to waist height in these villages, leaving residents stranded. These villages are located approximately 20 kilometers from the Army’s Armoured Corps Centre and School (ACC&S). The Indian Army has initiated relief operations in the area. So far, 10 people from Khadki and 15 from Walki have been relocated to safer places.
Upon receiving a request for assistance from District Collector Pankaj Ashiya, the Indian Army immediately deployed a relief team from ACC&S and began rescue and relief operations.
The relief team reached Aranggaon at 5:35 PM and coordinated with the local civil administration before proceeding to the flood-affected area. At 5:50 PM, the team arrived at Khadkinagar village and promptly began rescue operations, according to preliminary information received from the District Disaster Management Cell.
