Vikshit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan launched in Khawzawl district
Khawzawl : The inaugural function of Vikshit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan (VKSA) was held today at Zaingen YMA Hall, inaugurated by chief Mr. K. Vanlalthiana, Deputy Commissioner, Khawzawl, who graced the function as chief guest.
Mr. K. Vanlalthiana, in his inaugural speech, expressed his sincere hope that the scheme reaches far and wide to make a difference. He thanked the various offices and departments who made it possible for VKSA to be launched today. He talked about the abundance of crops, fruits and vegetables in Khawzawl district and thanked the farmers for their tireless efforts in their works. He expressed his hope that this scheme benefits the farmers in their basic functions, the people of Khawzawl in meeting their needs and requirements and the district of Khawzawl in its growth and development.
Today’s programme was chaired by Dr. Malsawmkimi, Senior Scientist & Head, KVK Khawzawl. Short speeches were given by Dr. Lahruaipuii, Senior Scientist, Vety. Microbiology; Mr. Henry Lalremruata Varte, DHO; Ms. Lallawmzuali, DAO; and Dr. Zomuana, Technical Officer, AH & Vety.
Vikshit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan is a scheme under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare. The primary goal of the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan is to educate farmers about modern agricultural technologies. It seeks to raise awareness about government schemes and policies that can benefit farmers.
