6-Year-Old Tamil Nadu Boy Treks to Everest Base Camp, Meets Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin

Honourable Tamil Nadu Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development, Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin, at his office, met and congratulated young student mountaineer Master Lalit Aran Sridhar Kavunkadash, who successfully trekked to the Everest Base Camp at an altitude of 5,364 meters.

Six-year-old Lalit Aran Sridhar Kavunkadash, a student from Tirukalukundram, undertook this expedition to Everest Base Camp along with his father, Mr. Sridhar Kavunkadash. He is deeply passionate about mountaineering and has been receiving training in the sport. Young Lalit has already trekked over 30 mountain peaks, including the Kavunliyankiri Hill, which is situated at an elevation of 6,000 feet.

The Honourable Minister praised Lalit’s interest in mountaineering and presented him with a token of appreciation on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority. He also extended his best wishes for many more achievements in the future.

The event was also attended by Additional Chief Secretary of Youth Welfare and Sports Development, Ms. Athulya Misra, IAS, and Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority Member Secretary, Mr. K. Amarnath Reddy, IAS, along with Lalit’s parents and his school teachers.
