India’s All-Party Delegation Reaches Malaysia to Reinforce Global Anti-Terrorism Stand

Kuala Lumpur : An all-party parliamentary delegation from India, led by Janata Dal (United) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, arrived in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday after completing a successful leg of their diplomatic tour in Indonesia. This international visit is part of India’s broader initiative to build global consensus against terrorism and to highlight India’s zero-tolerance approach toward it.

The Indian High Commissioner to Malaysia, B. N. Reddy, welcomed the delegation upon arrival. The Indian Embassy in Malaysia shared photos of the welcome on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “All-Party Parliamentary Delegation, led by MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, arrived in Kuala Lumpur. The delegation will meet Malaysian Ministers, Members of Parliament, representatives of think-tanks, academia, media and the Indian community to convey India’s national consensus and collective resolve to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. #OpSindoor #NeverForgetNeverForgive #IndiaAgainstTerror.”

The delegation’s Malaysia visit marks the final phase of their five-nation diplomatic outreach, which included prior engagements in Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Indonesia. Their mission centers on building strategic relationships and conveying India’s unified political stance against terrorism, particularly in light of recent cross-border attacks from Pakistan.

While in Indonesia, the delegation held a series of productive meetings with a diverse range of stakeholders, including ministers, academics, media representatives, and think-tank scholars. According to the Indian Embassy in Indonesia, “The Multi-Party Parliamentary Delegation led by Sanjay Kumar Jha, on the successful completion of their Indonesia Mission today afternoon, departed from Jakarta for their last leg of the tour in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.”

The Embassy also noted that the delegation’s engagements in Jakarta enabled them to effectively communicate India’s unwavering commitment to eliminating terrorism. “Through their several interactions in Jakarta in the last three days with a cross-section of important stakeholders, the delegation was able to firmly articulate India’s principles and resolute stance of zero tolerance against terrorism and garner unequivocal support from all the interlocutors in Indonesia,” the statement said.

The multi-party group includes notable parliamentarians across India’s political spectrum—BJP MPs Aparajita Sarangi, Brij Lal, Hemang Joshi, and Pradan Baruah; TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee; CPI(M) Rajya Sabha member John Barla; Congress leader Salman Khurshid; and former Indian Ambassador to France, Mohan Kumar.

This initiative is one of seven global outreach efforts launched by India, where multi-party delegations are visiting 33 key capitals to expose Pakistan’s role in fomenting terrorism. The diplomatic push follows the deadly Pahalgam terror attack that prompted India to launch precision strikes against terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir on May 7.

Pakistan retaliated with attempted attacks on Indian military bases on May 8, 9, and 10, but the Indian response was swift and firm. The hostilities eventually ceased following a mutual agreement to halt military actions after discussions between the directors general of military operations of both nations on May 10.

India’s global diplomatic campaign reflects its determination to mobilize international support and isolate terrorism-supporting regimes.
