“Divyangjan Established Their Place in Society Based on Their Abilities, Qualifications, Perseverance, and Positivity” – CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Divyangjans established their place in society based on their ability, qualification, perseverance, and positivity. This self-confidence gives them a special identity. The Government of Madhya Pradesh is committed to encouraging and supporting them at every level. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that although God may have reduced one faculty in their body, He compensates by enhancing many other capabilities. Divyangjans are an important part of society. They have qualifications in their respective fields. The state government has provided an additional 2 percent reservation for Divyangjans in government jobs (direct recruitment). The government’s philosophy is “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah” (May all be happy). Many welfare schemes are being run for persons with disabilities. The government is always ready to solve their problems. The provision of the term “Divyang” by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has positively changed society’s outlook.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the program of distribution of appointment letters and other benefits to Divyangjansat the auditorium of Pandit Khushilal Sharma Government Ayurveda College and Institute.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that God created our birth on earth. The Almighty has also given the opportunity to do some noble deeds for those in need. Citing examples of great poet Surdas, Ashtavakra, Sakurat, Swami Rambhadracharya, and renowned musician Shri Ravindra Jain, he said that these great personalities contributed to society and made a place in history not through physical beauty or completeness but by making important contributions in areas of expertise.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. He distributed appointment letters to Divyangjansfrom the Public Works, Archaeology, and Water Resources Department. He also distributed smartphones and motorised bicycles to the beneficiaries. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav released a booklet developed in Braille script on the Rights of Divyangjans Act 2016. Public Works Minister Shri Rakesh Singh, Social Justice Minister Shri Narayan Singh Kushwaha, Bhopal Mayor Mrs. Malti Rai, and MLA Shri Bhagwan Das Sabnani were especially present. Divyang students presented a welcome song on this occasion. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and the guests were welcomed by presenting a Tulsi plant. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated Public Works Minister Shri Rakesh Singh on his birthday, which was on the same day.
Recruitment of 2600 posts for Divyangjans
Social Justice and Social Welfare Minister Shri Narayan Singh Kushwaha said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is committed to preserving the culture of the state. Under his leadership, the state government is running many schemes for the welfare of the poor, farmers (food providers), youth, and women. Many welfare works are also being done for Divyangjans. He said that the sensitivity of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is reflected in his guidance. Divyangjans are also being given benefits like education-training, skill enhancement, scholarships, etc. While a 4 percent reservation for Divyangjans is provided throughout the country, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has provided 6 percent reservation in jobs. Recruitment of Divyangjans has been done for 2600 posts in the state. To ensure that Divyangjans do not have to roam around for artificial limbs, camps are being organised at the district level for the distribution of artificial limbs to ensure their convenience and accessibility. For this, the Mahavir institution of Rajasthan has been assigned the responsibility.
Giving everyone right to live with dignity is CM Dr. Yadav’s resolve
Public Works Minister Shri Rakesh Singh said that Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is very sensitive towards Divyangjans. He is always ready to communicate with them. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav’s resolve is that everyone should have the right to live with dignity and no person in society should have to live life dependent on anyone’s pity. When a government is sensitive, it understands its responsibilities well. Getting appointments today is a great happy occasion for Divyangjans and their entire families. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is advancing India’s ancient culture. At the same time, development and public welfare works are being completed with priority along with heritage. Senior officials and a large number of Divyangjans were present at the program.
In the programme, appointment letters were given to 33 Junior Engineers of the Public Works Department, 10 employees of the Archaeology Department, and 5 fourth-class employees of the Water Resources Department. Along with this, 97 beneficiaries were provided with equipment as per their needs.
