Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami Participates in ‘Amar Ujala Samvad’ Program in Dehradun
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the “Amar Ujala Samvad” program held at a hotel in Dehradun on Tuesday. On this occasion, he praised Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s leadership, stating that his 11-year golden tenure as Prime Minister has become a source of inspiration for the nation and the world.
The Chief Minister remarked that the Prime Minister has brought the vision of a developed India to the global stage, and its impact is evident across all sectors. Under his leadership, development efforts in hilly states like Uttarakhand have gained momentum. He further stated that Uttarakhand is steadily becoming a center of global attraction, with many destinations in the state drawing both domestic and international tourists.
The state government is fully prepared for the future, and all developmental activities are being carried out in a planned manner. Emphasizing the need for tailored schemes and standards for hill states, the Chief Minister stated in the NITI Aayog meeting that policymaking must consider the unique circumstances of such regions. He also mentioned that the government is formulating schemes keeping in mind the floating population of the state.
Chief Minister Dhami highlighted that the state government is driving development by maintaining a balance between ecology and economy. Referring to the Prime Minister as the “Son of the Ganges,” he appreciated his promotion of the winter pilgrimage from Mukhba, which has elevated Uttarakhand’s spiritual and tourism profile to new heights.
He also noted that the state government has implemented strict land laws to protect Uttarakhand from land mafias and preserve its geographical identity, assuring that these laws will not negatively impact investors. Notably, Uttarakhand has become the first state in the country to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).
The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s continuous efforts to minimize the impact of disasters. He added that the government is taking strict action against encroachments and is committed to preserving the demography of Devbhoomi (Land of the Gods), making it clear that there will be no compromise on the state’s original character.
