As part of the fortnight-long ‘Vande Ganga’ Water Conservation Public Campaign, Cooperation Minister and Kota District In-Charge Shri Gautam Kumar Dak visited Lakshmipura village in Kuradia Gram Panchayat under Sangod sub-division on Friday. He inspected a pond constructed under the Atal Bhujal Yojana at a cost of ₹1.40 crore and also participated in tree plantation downstream of the pond.

On the occasion, Minister Dak described the ‘Vande Ganga’ campaign as an inspiring initiative to raise public awareness about water conservation. He extended gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma for launching this campaign and acknowledged his Bhagirath-like efforts toward cleaning and preserving traditional water bodies like stepwells, ponds, dams, and other water sources. He stressed the importance of continuing and expanding these efforts.

A Campaign to Awaken Public Consciousness

Shri Dak noted that this campaign would awaken collective public consciousness about the revival and conservation of clean water sources. He called on citizens to transform the ‘Vande Ganga’ Water Conservation Campaign into a mass movement, stating that every drop of water is precious. “Life is unimaginable without water. It cannot be manufactured—it can only be conserved,” he emphasized. The Minister urged everyone to take part in this noble mission of the state government by protecting water sources in their respective areas.

Message to Save Water and Trees

Shri Dak also gave a strong message to the people present about saving water and protecting trees. On this occasion, Kota Zila Pramukh Shri Mukesh Meghwal, Kota District Collector Dr. Ravindra Goswami, and other officials were also present.

Additionally, the Minister-in-Charge visited the Kotdi Gram Seva Sahakari Samiti under the Panchayat Samiti Sangod and issued necessary instructions.
