  • The structure will be rectangular: 732 meters in length and 14 feet wide
  • The entire temple complex will be open to devotees by December

Ayodhya : The construction of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple complex in Ayodhya is progressing rapidly. Following the consecration (pran-pratishtha) ceremonies of Ram Darbar and other deities, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has intensified efforts on building the temple’s perimeter wall (parikota or prachir). Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is paying special attention to this historic project. During every visit to Ayodhya, he holds meetings with members of the Teerth Kshetra Trust and officials to review the progress of the construction and issues appropriate directions to ensure timely completion. His active supervision and guidance have significantly accelerated the pace of work.

Under the leadership of Trust General Secretary Champat Rai and Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Mishra, the executing agencies are working round the clock on constructing the perimeter. The aim is to open the entire temple complex to devotees by November/December 2025. The perimeter will be rectangular in shape, measuring 732 meters in length and 14 feet in width. It is being built using the same pink sandstone used in the temple, featuring intricate carvings depicting episodes from the life of Lord Shri Ram. These artistic creations will not only draw the attention of devotees but also convey Lord Ram’s ideals to both present and future generations.

Ayodhya Emerges on the Global Map

Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, Ayodhya is emerging not just as a spiritual center but also as a global cultural and tourism hub. Following his directions, infrastructure development in and around the temple complex is also moving at a rapid pace. Roads, airports, railway stations, and other amenities are being expanded to make Ayodhya more accessible for pilgrims and tourists. The Yogi government’s top priority is to ensure the construction of the Shri Ram Temple with quality and within the set timeframe, making it a true symbol of India’s rich cultural heritage.
