Complete All Development Works in Paithan City Within Deadline: Minister of State Madhuri Misal

Mumbai : Minister of State for Urban Development Madhuri Misal has directed that the remaining 400 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) in Paithan city must be completed at the earliest. She assured that necessary funds will be arranged to expedite the work. Other development projects in Paithan—such as the water supply scheme, projects under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, and the temple pilgrimage site development at Aapegaon—must also be completed without delay. She emphasized that all development works in Paithan should be completed within the stipulated time frame.

A meeting was held at the Mantralaya to review the various issues related to Paithan Municipal Council limits. The meeting was attended by Union Minister Raosaheb Danve, MLA Vilas Gumre, Chief Executive Officer Pallavi Ambhore, and other officials.

Minister Misal further stated that the municipal council should temporarily outsource solid waste management activities using local funds. This includes waste collection, street sweeping, drain cleaning, garbage transport, and pre-monsoon preparations, especially the cleaning of large city drains using JCB machines. She assured that funds will be provided to complete these solid waste management tasks urgently.

Additionally, she instructed the completion of projects under the District Annual Plan, which includes two shopping complexes, the Shivaji Children’s Park, and 68 commercial shop units.
