Special Lok Adalat will be organized in Supreme Court from 29th July to 3rd August 2024
The Supreme Court of India is organizing a special Lok Adalat from 29 July to 3 August. Such mutual settlement cases of all the states of the country, which can be resolved through the special court, will be resolved. Hon’ble Justice Shri Suryakant of the Supreme Court of India, while addressing the Chief Secretaries of all the states of the country, High Court Judges of the states, Advocate General, Law Secretary and other officials through video conference today, gave detailed information about various provisions for resolving cases at the government level through this special Lok Adalat.
Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain held a meeting of Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of various departments. The Chief Secretary has asked the officials to identify and list such cases related to their department, which have the possibility of settlement, and ensure necessary action. Additional Chief Secretary Forest and Climate Change Department Mrs. Richa Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary Home and Jail and Public Health and Family Welfare Shri Manoj Kumar Pingua, senior officials of Law and Legislative Affairs Department and key officials of other departments participated in the meeting.
